I’m Michelle, the photographer behind Candid Reflections Photography, est. 2008.

I love to capture the life, feeling, and emotion in people, and I love to watch their reaction to a photo when they are able to visually see what they know their heart feels.  Whenever I aim my camera at people, my goal is to create an image that when looked at years down the road will cause them to reflect not only upon the way they once looked, but upon the way they once felt.  I love a photojournalistic approach with the emphasis on people doing and being rather than posing and saying “cheese”.  To me, photo sessions= a time to hang out and have fun.

I love to create, and when I’m not doing so with my camera, you might find me creating in my kitchen with food.  I am a self-professed recipe junkie; I’m often collecting and trying out new recipes that I’ve copied from the web, found in an illustrated cookbook, or ripped from a magazine at the dentist’s office (I confess… it was me.) 

So, amidst my #1 appointment in life which is to create a home for my family,  I find opportunities to pick up my camera or my measuring spoons – and when I can, I’ll enjoy sharing about them with you here.  Thanks for stopping by!
