Lindsey+Peter : The First Look

I LOVE it when the bride and groom opt to see one another before the ceremony… when asked, I always recommend it.   When experienced in an intimate setting, the first look becomes a beautiful time to exchange sentiments and savor the moment, rather than rush through, as often happens in a ceremony.  As the photographer, I (me and my telephoto lens) get to hang out in the background, like a fly on the wall, and stealthily try to capture the emotion and tenderness that makes my heart melt every time. Lindsey and Peter’s first look was no exception!  Gentle…tender…beautiful…  why not take a look for yourself!

  1. Stunning photos & gorgeous outdoor setting, that has to be Mount Rainier! My husband & I just spent 2-weeks in the Seattle area, we became quite familiar with “the mountain”, as the locals call it. Love the candy table too!

I can see why you’re in love with your current camera, the quality is apparent in all of your photos! Of course, a photo can only be as good as the person behind the camera, you’re great at capturing the emotion! Great job, you always woo me with your work. Thanks again for the camera advice, I’m still researching… :))

  4. Oh, Thank you Jen B, Leah V, and Sarah D! I do have to share the photo credit with my man, he’s the one who snapped photo #8, Sarah, pretty cool huh?
Hi Jen. You were in Seattle…hope you had a wonderful visit. Beside the Space Needle, Pike’s Place, the underground railroad… did you happen to grace your eyes upon the infamous Wall of Gum??? I’ve been meaning to email you another tad-bit of info, for what it’s worth… hopefully today.
Hi Leah, weddings are my all time favorite to photograph, and I can’t wait to shoot yours and Greg’s!

  5. […] or the groom trying to find matching socks, or maybe we’re past all that and they’re laying eyes on each other for the first time that day.  I love my job and I can’t imagine a place I’d rather be than right there […]
