A Flash of Nostalgia

Filed under: Everything Else, Photography — candid reflections @ 10:33 pm

Name that American one-hour television program that aired on the NBC network from September 11, 1974, to March 21, 1983.  You remember, the one where Carrie, Mary, and Laura Ingalls frolic down a hill, as shown in the opening credits of the series.  Can’t you just hear those opening credits now… dum dum da da, dum da da, dum dum da da, da da da da da da da da da….

Wait!  What’s that I see?  A little girl running down the hill toward me!            Dum dum da da…That’s the tune that came to mind today when this scene I did see.  Listen closely and perhaps you’ll hear it too…

  2. Yah, I know. I thought about pushing her over just to get the picture, but I decided that wouldn’t go over too well. 😉

  3. Thanks for the comment. I came across your site and I love your pics. My husband gave me a Cannon XTi for Christmas and needless to say I am still learning. I love photography, I just wish I was better at it. If I had taken the pics on this post, She would have been a big blur sliding down the hill. LOL… Smiles…. Lacie

  4. Thanks Laci ~ That’s funny, I did have a couple blurry ones of her – she must have really picked up some speed in certain spots! I find that the more I use my camera the better my pictures get – let’s just say I make lots of mistakes to learn from! You have a nice camera, just keep it handy and use it all the time. I’ve been to your blog, you’ve got some great pix of your kids!
