Becoming Janeand thisPride and Prejudice - The Special Edition (A&E, 1996)

Also, reading about genteel society of early 1800 England here.

So sorry if this was the only version of Austen’s novel that you’ve watched:

Pride & Prejudice

… but then again, they did only have two hours, (not nearly enough time to do the novel justice.)

  1. That’s soo funny. I am currently reading Sense and Sensibility, my favorite Austen novel. Miss. M just finished Pride and Predjudice and then begged us to rent both movies and Becoming Jane.. She was courious to see if Becoming Jane was acurate , so she is now reading a biography about her.
I’m planning a what’s on your night stand reading post. We both just read To Kill a Mocking Bird. Very Good.

  2. Jane is quite fascinating, isn’t she? Has Miss M. seen http://www.pemberley.com/janeinfo/janelife.html – the site has some interesting information.
I wondered the same thing after watching Becoming Jane. It will be fun to discuss what we’ve found.
Oh…and I would love a “What’s on your nightstand?” post. When you post yours – please, please, please include a picture? so fun!
