On Saturday, Ironman and I photographed a candle lit wedding, with the help of the best assistant I could ask for, my sister Suzy. Then we had fun snapping shots of all sorts of characters during the reception, as the couple encouraged their guests to change into costume to help them celebrate.

I love the way he loves her.

The groom slipped into “something a little more comfortable” for the reception.

And what’s a costume party without a little karaoke?

I recently had someone request a gift certificate for a newborn photo session to give as a baby shower gift. I had a lot of fun designing one for her:

~ B A C K ~

and I know that I’ll have even more fun honoring it, because taking pictures of newborn babies is one of my favorite things to do!
I thought that the gift certificate was such a fun idea that I’m offering them up as an option to anyone that may want to give them as Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, babyshower gifts, etc. Check out my website www.candidreflections.net to see prices for photo sessions, email me if you’re interested, and I’d be happy to personalize a gift certificate for you!

All eyes are on Ben, and do the looks on their parent’s faces not tug at your heart???

Ben and Brittany wrote and read their own vows to eachother, very heart-warming.

See… I told you.

Brittany’s sister and brother-in-law made the wedding cake (if I’m not mistaken) and cupcakes… beautiful, and delish!

Congratulations Ben and Brittany, may God bless you abundantly!
We had the privilege of photographing the wedding of a most adorable couple: Brittany & Ben. Thanks for being so fun to work with you two… your love for eachother has such a delightful and refreshing quality, we were honored to be a part of your day!
Here are just a few of my favorites:

Before the wedding, we hung out on the waterfront with Lindsey, Peter, and their fun group of close friends. We had a great time, I can only imagine how much fun they would be to hang out with if high heels, pretty dresses, and tuxedos weren’t in the way!

I LOVE it when the bride and groom opt to see one another before the ceremony… when asked, I always recommend it. When experienced in an intimate setting, the first look becomes a beautiful time to exchange sentiments and savor the moment, rather than rush through, as often happens in a ceremony. As the photographer, I (me and my telephoto lens) get to hang out in the background, like a fly on the wall, and stealthily try to capture the emotion and tenderness that makes my heart melt every time. Lindsey and Peter’s first look was no exception! Gentle…tender…beautiful… why not take a look for yourself!
my view:

Iron Man’s view (my hero/husband shoots with me sometimes. He studied photography back in the days of film!)

How could I grumble over doing the dishes with a vase of tHeSe at my windowsill?? Their aroma carried on the breeze is enough to hold me captive long past the last dish, ahhhh…

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we only will tune in.
