I’m Michelle, thirty-something, pledged to my true companion*, and teacher at home to our five children (three big brothers, two little sisters.)
I have interests: two that I am particularly intrigued by are writing and photography. I earned my BA over a decade ago, along with a minor in English and a teaching certificate. Writing was intensely a part of my life back then…, but then came the babies to burp, laundry to fold, and minds to steer. Let’s just say my creative pen has gotten a bit rusty!
Hence this blog: my venue, my little corner in which to strain my brain, clench my teeth, and knaw on my knuckles in hopes to revive any lingering ability to express myself coherently. Oh, and when I can’t manage that with words, maybe I can find a picture or two to post. (*added later: now that I’ve started a photog business, you’ll definitely be seeing alot more than a picture or two!) I love to take pictures! I got my camera a couple of years ago and there’s been no turning back! I love the challenge of capturing the moment, seizing the feeling, somehow finding that magical moment when the picture isn’t about the hairdo or the outfit, but about the feeling…the emotion. This is the photographer’s thrill, and I’m becoming an addict.
Here, you’ll find frank, candid reflections of my day-to-day, expressed via my “aspiring” pen and lens.
